Files and uploads
What file type do you accept?
DXF only at launch. SVG, DWG, STEP, and PDF are not supported yet.
What kind of DXF works best?
A flat 2D DXF with closed contours, in millimetres or inches. The quoter parses your file as soon as you drop it in and shows whether the geometry can be quoted before you configure, so you’ll know quickly if something needs attention.
Where do I confirm units?
On the upload card, right after the file is parsed. We don’t guess. You pick millimetres or inches before configuring.
Materials and sizing
What materials can I quote online?
Ten materials at launch: Polycarbonate (Lexan), ABS, Acrylic (Plexiglass), Aluminum Composite Panel (ACP), HDPE, UHMW, Poplar, Baltic Birch Plywood, MDF, and Finished Birch. Each has a fixed list of stocked thicknesses shown in the quoter.
What is the maximum part size?
47 in × 95 in. We cut from 48 in × 96 in sheets and reserve a 1-inch margin for fixturing.
Can I get other colours, thicknesses, or materials?
The catalogue shown in the quoter is what we stock at launch. For anything else, send a manual quote request.
Do you offer engraving or V-carving?
Not at launch.
Quoting and pricing
How does the quote work?
Upload your DXF, confirm units, pick a material and thickness, assign features (through-cut, tapping, countersink, counterbore, chamfer, edge radius, pocket), and set quantity. The cart total updates as you configure.
Why did my cart become a manual quote request?
One of your parts is too large to ship as a parcel. Fill in the contact form on the cart and we’ll reply by email with a confirmed total once we’ve sorted shipping.
Pickup, shipping, and taxes
Can I choose pickup instead of shipping?
Yes. The cart has a pickup option you can switch to before checkout.
Where is pickup?
Premier CNC, 31 Durward Pl, Waterloo, ON N2L 4E5. Weekdays, 9 AM to 5 PM. We’ll email you when your order is ready.
What shipping area do you support at launch?
Ontario, by parcel at launch. For addresses outside Ontario, contact us before ordering.
How is tax calculated?
13% Ontario HST applies to the subtotal plus shipping. The amount is shown in the cart before checkout.
Orders and account access
Do I need an account to order?
No. You can upload, configure, and check out as a guest.
How do I create or access my account after checkout?
If your checkout email does not already have a password, the confirmation email includes an account-setup link. If you already have an account, sign in at /account/sign-in to see your past orders.
How do I view my order status?
Every order email includes a status link. Open it to see the current state. Paid, in production, shipped, or ready for pickup.
Can I reorder a previous part?
A one-click reorder isn’t built yet. For now, re-upload the same DXF and reconfigure.
Manual quote requests
When should I send a manual quote request?
Anything outside the launch catalogue, oversized for parcel shipping, or special-case work outside the standard operations. The cart will route you there automatically when needed; you can also reach us by email for everything else.
